Bond Beebe, a certified public accounting and advisory firm with offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia, announced that Caroline Kettering, CPA recently completed all requirements for Tier 1 LEED Green Associate certification.  The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional Exams are administered by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) for professionals seeking to earn credentials and certificates; the exams test knowledge based on the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Rating Systems.  The GBCI was established with the support of the USGBC to manage LEED’s Building Certification and the Professional Accreditation Processes.
This LEED Professional Credential provides employers, policymakers, and other stakeholders with assurances of an individual’s current level of competence and is the mark of the most qualified, educated, and influential green building professionals in the marketplace; the Green Associate credential denotes basic knowledge of green design, construction and operations. Kettering, who was recently promoted to Senior Audit Manager at Bond Beebe, has worked in audit engagements for a variety of clients, especially those in the real estate and construction fields.  In addition to demonstrating knowledge of green design, construction and operations, and passing the Professional Exam, she will be required to maintain credentials through a combination of education, practical experience and testing.
