Lawrence “Larry” R. Beebe, CPA, is an emeritus partner at Withum with over 40 years of experience. Larry has carried on both a family legacy and developed his own unique talents, specializing in employee benefit plans, labor unions, not-for-profit organizations, construction companies and law firms. Many of our clients have benefited from Larry’s expert understanding of audit engagements, operational systems, computer systems, corporate and individual taxes, profit sharing plans and pension plans. Prior to joining the Firm, Larry was a consulting principal of Bond Beebe, which joined with Withum in August 2017. He previously held the position of Chairman for Bond Beebe’s Audit Department for over 20 years.

Larry is recognized as a national expert in the benefits field. He is highly regarded among labor organizations for his substantial experience in auditing international, national and local unions, employee benefit funds and employers to collectively bargained agreements. He has also co-authored two editions of Payroll Auditing: A Guide for Multiemployer Plans with Philip Vivirito, Withum’s Director of Payroll and Compliance Audits.

Larry serves the accounting community regularly by contributing to industry publications, participating in seminars and teaching classes. He frequently speaks for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), serves as Chair of its ACA Expert Panel and contributes to its many publications. Larry has also been a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Expert Panel. A knowledgeable instructor, Larry has taught auditing courses for over 20 years at the University of Maryland, various CPA review courses and auditing courses in continuing education programs for the IFEBP, AHI Associates and various state CPA Societies.

Additionally, Larry is also a Chairman of the Financial Review Committee for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Continuing Education Committee for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and Treasurer and Member for the Hospice Care of DC.
