Bond Beebe Professionals Participate in IFEBP’s 55th Annual Conference

Bond Beebe, a certified public accounting and advisory firm with offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia, announced that three of their Principals have participated in the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans’ (“IFEBP”) 55th Annual Conference, which took place November 8-11 in Orlando, Florida.  David Dorsey, Scott Price and Lawrence Beebe all participated in separate speaking engagements during the Conference.  The IFEBP’s Annual Conference offers almost 200 sessions and workshops that address topics concerning those who serve multiemployer and public employee benefit plans.  It also is a forum that provides opportunities for networking and collaboration.  The IFEBP is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to being a leading objective and independent global source of employee benefits, compensation and financial literacy education and information.

Dorsey’s presentation, “Preparing for a Compliance Audit,” was co-presented with Corey J. Wirth, CEBS, Administrative Manager with the IBEW-NECA Service Center, Inc.  Price moderated a session entitled “SAS 115 – Are You Ready?” where Kathleen M. Jackson, CPA, of Novack Francella, LLC spoke.  Beebe presented in three sessions, “Understanding the Fund’s Financial Statements,” “Considering What-Ifs,” and “Making Hard Choices as a Trustee,” which he co-presented with the following: Bernard M. Baum, Of Counsel, Baum Sigman Auerbach & Neuman, Ltd.; Joseph J. Burke, CEBS, Administrator, Ironworkers’ Mid-America Pension and Supplemental Monthly Annuity Funds; Peter F. Castellarin, CEO, M&O Insulation Company, M&O Environmental Company; and William A. Martin, Trustee, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 654.  Beebe also moderated a workshop about Policy Reviews.
