Bond Beebe offers a professional, yet supportive environment.
We believe in challenging people. We also believe in working in teams and rotating through different departments and different supervisors to experience a variety of management styles. Options and variety are a way of life here.
The right tools are important to any job. In accounting, technology reigns. There is much to learn in this constantly changing field but you'll never feel behind in technology at Bond Beebe. We maintain the most current technology at all times and you'll soon see that it is an important part of your job to understand the tools we use and apply them to their full capacity.
Mentoring
When you join the Firm, a mentor will be assigned for your first year. After that, you can choose. Your mentor is there for you to help with personal issues and work issues and will even offer constructive criticism. Each mentor has a unique style, and every mentor understands their role and guidelines for being a valuable resource for you.
"Through my mentoring relationship I've been able to develop my interpersonal skills, and that just enhances my career growth potential."
Anita Edwards, Staff Auditor
"The mentoring program allowed me to transition smoothly into a new work environment."
Marcel Pascal, Senior Auditor
"The mentoring program at Bond Beebe is a great way to learn from the experience of those around you. It gives you one-on-one time with the people you may not get to work with all the time, but have a lot of good advice and knowledge to share!"
Brian Wynne, Senior Tax Accountant
"Mentoring provides a confidential forum where I can draw on my experiences and offer my guidance to staff that may be struggling with issues that I may have had as well."
Brian Garstecki, Audit Associate
"Having a mentor means you'll always have a sounding board, someone to exchange thoughts and ideas throughout your professional career. Plus, you'll create relationships that will last a lifetime."
Jim Flach, Tax Manager
Career Counseling
Career counseling serves a different purpose for you than mentoring. In your first years with Bond Beebe, you'll enjoy a variety of experiences. At some point, and the timing is a little different for each person, you'll probably start to feel that you're drawn to a certain type of work or niche. That's a good time to consider specialization. And that's when career counseling is key.
When you feel you've found a direction that strongly interests you, we will help you define a plan to promote your involvement in those areas through work assignments and relevant continuing professional education.
When it comes to choosing a career specialization, you have the ability to test things out, see what it's like and make sure it's right for you.
Training
You'll have lots of training, including monthly in-house sessions for the first few years. It will primarily cover processes and technology and knowledge unique to our clients. By year two or three, you will begin to select some of your own training. By year four, your continuing education is almost entirely self-directed with some guidance from your career counselor. Some of this may be industry-oriented training, not just service-oriented.
As you advance toward becoming a senior, you'll also participate in the A.H.I professional development program You'll attend this program each year for your first three years and we guarantee it's something you'll enjoy. Our team loves this training-always looking forward to the next event.
The most successful CPAs know that maintaining great client relations and having excellent communication skills are paramount to building a solid practice. Historically in the accounting profession, marketing was an area where new accountants were left to figure it out on their own. Not here. At Bond Beebe, you'll learn how to refine the requisite skills to cultivate client relationships and eventually develop business yourself.
Certain skills and traits lend themselves well to a career and leadership in a CPA firm. Marketing is one, and so is technical competency, but there are many more. Developing those skills is something we help you achieve . Why? Because we want you to succeed and evolve into a future leader of the firm.
